Rumproller Organ Trio is centered around the Hammond B3 Organ, a staple of American music from churches to nightclubs, living rooms to ballparks. Capable of a mellow whisper or a raucous roar, the many voices of the B3 lend a soulful tinge to any song. Along with funky guitar and drums, the group's repertoire is wide as the Mississippi. Whether a recent pop hit by Taylor Swift, a classic jazz standard or an R&B essential by Ray Charles, they are all treated to Rumproller’s deep swing and feel-good grooves - transporting audiences back to the nightclubs, cocktail parties and lounges of the 1950s, ’60s, and ’70s.

While many of today's music performances incorporate laptops, digital keyboards and backing tracks, Rumproller insists on rolling out the 450-pound Hammond for their shows. And the visual is mesmerizing: One person at the helm operates pedals with both feet; the hands flick knobs, push and pull levers, all while keeping the music swinging and the heads in the room bobbing up and down. It's like watching someone operate an airplane, tractor or piece of heavy machinery from the past.

When not touring with Tedeschi Trucks Band, B3 virtuoso Carey Frank mans the controls of the organ. James Achor of 90's swing revival kings Royal Crown Review plays guitar and groove-master/Rumproller - founder Kevin Stevens is on drums.
