Northern Lite is a three-headed band from Erfurt.Northern Lite was founded in 1997 by Andreas Kubat and Sebastian Bohn (Dj Boon). In 2001, Larry joined Lowe as a guitarist. Larry previously played in cover bands in South Carolina and gave the band, which was previously dedicated to the techno, a rocking note. In 2004, Larry was replaced by Erfurt Sascha Littek, Larry Lowe continued as DJ Fujimo and along with Kenny Laakinen in the project Toxigen.With their label 1st Decade Records, Andreas Kubat and Sebastian Bohn created a platform for other artists in Erfurt in 2000. The music of Northern Lite is often referred to as Neo Pop, this term - derived from a compilation series of the same name - modern electronic pop music of all kinds summarizes. Characteristic of Northern Lite are techno and electro pop elements in interaction with rock guitars.The Erfurt became known through their live gigs in small clubs in Germany and then in Spain, England and Japan. Northern Lite won the 2005 Dance Music Award in the Best Indie / Electronic Artist category. Northern Lite have represented their home country Thuringia at the 2007 Bundesvision Song Contest and finished 6th. The group performed with the title Enemy, which she presented together with Chapeau Claque. Enemy is also the only German-language title of Northern Lite and was rewritten specially for the Bundesvision Song Contest. The original title Enemy (without Chapeau Claque) was previously released on the album Unisex (2006). There are several more versions of this title.
