The Kent Stage will present a unique Al Stewart Weekend on Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17, with full band renditions of two classic records. The first night will feature a performance, backed by The Empty Pockets, of Stewart’s Past Present and Future album in its entirety. In 1973, Stewart abandoned the confessional tone of his first four albums and took his music in a completely different direction. Taking history as the prime source of his material and seemingly inventing historical folk rock overnight, the release of Past Present and Future in October of 1973 was introduced with some fanfare and even greater critical acclaim.

The (multi-talented) Empty Pockets, always upbeat and gracious, always put on a fabulous show and Saturday afternoon at Space was no exception. Love that band!
