Kringer and the Battle Katz Biography

Formed in late 2014 and going from strength to strength since. Combining a mixture of thrash metal, hardcore, punk, ska and funk, groove metal and a whole lot of sleaze, bounciness and idiocy it's difficult to pigeon hole the BKZ into one catergory but it's idiotic and it's nice on the head craters we believe it's a truly individual mix of pure energy, madness and aggression. Come one come all and join the BKZ Khaoz kitten barmy army!

In October 2015 the BKZ self released a debut EP, "Pilot", and off the back of that gigged and played shows, festivals, and barn party hoe downs up and down the UK. Not believing in putting on a mediocre performance BKZ shows include sweat, screaming, action and an in your face onslaught of mayhem! Following on from this the recently self released debut album SPACE T-REX has been getting some spins and fellow idiots seem to love it. On the back of the newly released album, available on bandcamp, big cartel and all the usuals intermernet ways, for the forseeable future they have big big plans from videos, awesome giggage, and further releases lined up too!

If Rocket From the Crypt were supercharged on crystal meth, played EyeHateGod and Down influenced bruising, horn laden, sludged-up metal core and were obsessed with Professional Wrestling and all the things that keep life interesting and fun, then they’d be Kringer and the Battle Katz. These party happy Mancunian lunatics are guaranteed to bring the house crashing down around them every single time they hit the stage, and now you can take the Kringer experience home with you and everywhere you go, with their debut full length all systems go rifferic beast of a record, Space T-Rex. From the opening salvo of 99, through to Balrog Stole My Bitches and, after stopping off at Suplex City, Stone Cold Stunner and Nunslinger , Kringer don’t put a foot wrong and each and every brass powered tune on Space hits you with a trombone fuelled senton bomb before finishing you off with a riff powered Rock Bottom and F-5 combination. Battle Katz testify… Woooooooooo! -

The name might be quite the mouthful, but Manchester-based KRINGER AND THE BATTLE KATZ’s music resonates perfectly with it. Meshing all kinds of styles together, from thrash to ska and a little bit of sludge in places, KRINGER AND THE BATTLE KATZ has something for everyone. Their 2015 debut EP, Pilot, has a plethora of catchy hooks and blood-pumping riffs that’s bound to get the crowd bouncing at Badger Fest. The most intriguing track to watch out for is Shoot The Wedding Guests, which features some interesting brass instruments over frantic drum beats and heavy riffs. For a festival celebrating Manchester’s underground, what more could you want? -

A band that honestly entertained and surprised the hell out of me is without a doubt Kringer and the battle Katz, these guys are nuts with what they incorporate into their set; from trumpets to a frontman rolling backward on the ground towards the crowd; this is truly entertainment at its best. The full force action of this band is both groovy and insane with how they are able to create a live setting of random but serious tones that really bring a fun but chaotic force. -
