Sarah Carso Biography
Born in Paris, France in 1989, Sarah Carso began very early her musical education, following a complete classical training since the age of 6.
At first, she studied the double bass and when she turned 14, she passed the entrance auditon into the Paris National Conservatory.
In 2009, she gets her Diploma of Musical Studies in Classical Double bass from this same institution and starts practicing as a professional within Parisian orchestras and chamber music bands.
But this new classical career isn't enough to fill her needs of creativity and artistic freedom so she decided to turn to jazz music and try a new instrument : her voice!
Sarah Carso went back to the Paris Conservatory to get her Jazz Diploma this time.
Due to this program, she had the opportunity to work with artists of international fames such as Chuck Israel, David Berger, Margot Hanson, Christine and Ingrid Jensen,Sara Lazarus, Pierre Bertrand, Judy Niemack, Carine Bonnefoy...
She did sing with the Big Band of the Academy several times repertoire around Duke Ellington, Count Basie & Ella Fitzgerald.
Sarah Carso is now recognized as a professional singer in the current musical landscape, being the voice of several bands from a Latin Jazz Quartet to her own Jazz Quintet called " Patchwork" , with which she recorded her first CD Album in 2013 and occurred on stages of national and international levels.
