Stovetop Biography
Lee "Stovetop" Stover (born October 18, 1987 in Adrian Minnesota) is an independent rapper, singer, and dancer. He found a passion for performing at a young age and when he attended Northwestern College, (Iowa) he was encouraged from his peers to write/perform music and dance. Since 2011 he has released two mixtapes, "The Experiment Mixtape," "The Prequel," and most recently "Tunes" as well as many singles. With over 10,000 plays and 500 downloads on his SoundCloud profile, Stovetop is a rising artist on the Northwest IA music scene.
Stovetop is most well known for his song dedicated to the 2013 state champion Sheldon Orab's boys basketball team, Orab Anthem. The song gained overnight popularity which included local radio play.
He has also danced in talent shows (winning first place), choreographed several pieces for Northwestern College, Robin's School of Dance, and Unity Christian workshops, and performed for the "Dea-ncing with the Stars" community fundraiser. He has emceed several events (including Christian music festival, RiseFest), has been a morning guest on KIWA Radio, and teaches hip-hop dance. Along with being a DJ for Stovetop Productions, Stovetop (with Donnel "Scruff" Eaddy) has the opportunity to entertain weekly and is able to play his own music as it gains popularity.
Stovetop has worked with other independent artists such as Unique, Jay-Rah, Cadence to Arms, Little John Novy, and Black Express. Any collab conversations are welcome.
