Josh Werner has been my favorite bass player since he walked into the studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn while we were recording "So Long" in 2001. I knew from the first note he was the guy I had been looking for. He wasn't just a "Dub" bassist. He knew The Smiths, WuTang and all the in betweens.

When we toured together we'd listen to a lot of New Wave records I hadn't listened to in a while and we realized we had a shared love of many of those records. In passing, we said that we should make a record that is one part Americana and one part New Wave and we did. Just the two of us and drummer Dave Burnett. The record is still one of my favorites I have been a part of and some of the strongest songs I've written. Songs from Royal Vagabonds "For The Kings Court" always find their way on to our setlist and on this night I am very excited to have Josh Werner (Lee "Scratch" Perry, WuTang, Coco Rosie) in town.

What a great performance. LOUQUE, one-of-a-kind, can relate to the audience in a way that draws one closer and leaves the crowd wanting more. I was thankful to be in attendance. Talented, unique musicians.
