Factory Acts are a Salford-based post-punk dark-electro duo. They exist at the edge of the analogue-digital divide, sometimes dreaming, always dancing.

They are SoS (aka Susan O'Shea) on vocals, synths and analogue digital devices, and Matt Davies covering bass, beats and magic mixes. They hit the local gig circuit in 2012 self-releasing two singles, 'Senseless' and 'Fantasy', both of which have received repeated air play on BBC Introducing Manchester, Ireland's 2FM, Salford City Radio and numerous internet stations worldwide. Since then they have performed live from Manchester to Doncaster, from Leeds to London, taking in Cork on the way. Factory Acts has played the Salford Music Festival, headlined the 'Pussy-Whipped' festival in Edinburgh, and played alongside bands such as Salford legends Kill Pretty, plus Vile Electrodes, Tom Hingley, Ste McCabe, Naevus, The Witch Hunt, and the Jan Doyle Band to name but a few.

blistering blend of dark-electro cut with strong, confident bass [] One of my favourites of the year so far. The opening track 'Leave the World to Us' is music to be danced to [] it's one of the grooviest, grittiest opening tracks I've heard on an EP for a good
while. An intense listen []. Louder than War

Patchwork Rattlebag

Song-driven, psychedelic, electronic music that touches on themes ranging all the way from dogma to Dada.

"Salford's mind-enhancing, consciousness-transporting electronic messiahs... 'On My Own' is an utterly sublime piece of work. 9/10" - Reyt Good Music Magazine

"An unlikely name but this Salford outfit deliver eclectic electronica with supercharged atmospherics and dance influences. Vocalist John Lowndes is himself amazing, channelling the semi-falsetto performances of distinct singers such as James Mudriczki (Puressence) into a smooth pop overtone, that sits perfectly atop this lush, magical sway of synths and bubbling bass beats. Computers and synths are perfectly aligned with live mixing to perfectly deliver both a less-is-more and epic soundscape with impeccable timing. 'Sound design' is by Girl Disaster and her work is as equally thrilling as that of the singer. Like I said unlikely name, amazing sound - one of the best electro-songs I've heard this year. (5/5)" - manchestermusic.co.uk

"Enigmatic, atmospheric and haunted sound world. Most memorable." - Marc Yeats

Ethereal
https://etherealmusic.bandcamp.com

Ethereal is the work of Swedish born Thai transgender solo artist Waritsara 'Yui' Karlberg. The stage name itself exudes the kind of music she does which has been deemed as 'unique playing' combined with a 'haunting ambient head voice'.

The Code: Marla sound stretches from bass through trap, hip hop and rock, but always woven together with live instrumentalism, popping vocals, harmonies and bass.

Code: Marla have recently released a new EP: Origin Story. This is the fifth release by Code: Marla on Bitnormal Records and is the first featuring the brand new lineup of The Impossible Man (vocals), CJ Thorpe (bass, beats and synth), and Fraser Hall (guitar).

éntha
https://soundcloud.com/enthamusic

éntha swirls together glitch electronics, lush guitar melodies and infinite noise structures into single crystalline endlessly blooming soundscapes, stitched with deep self-reflection and eternal white light. All these elements were fully featured on the debut Vuidur/Lyfíd EP released on greatly acclaimed cassette label Strange Rules owned and run by Cremation Lily, songs from which are then given new live in concert. Great abstraction meets futurism in the éntha's complex philosophy, which truly opens in the live performances, taking audience into never-ending journey through the oceans of thick electric shine and melodic drone.
