The thrashing trio has celebrated the release of all three of their Thrill Jockey records right here with us and we've loved em every step of the way. The Wound makes the people go insane with their simultaneously hilarious and terrifying blend of heavy riffage, crushing rhythms and piercing screams. All three original OOZERs (welcome back, Kyle!) cut their teeth in some beloved local bands (CACAW, ZATH, UNMANNED SHIP, BAD DRUGS) and they're widely known around these parts to deliver one of the most brutal live shows in town. Get ready for the beatdown of your life.PAPER MICE is a three-piece whirligig from Chicago. These DIY scene super stars blend a freakish range of influences into miniature, prog-punk puzzles that are extra fun to put together. We last saw them all together when they opened for Meat Wave’s record release show last year. We also saw studly drummer John Carroll sit in with Oozing Wound and not miss a beat when they opened for HIGH ON FIRE to close out 2016! It’s a family reunion.Knoxville, Tennessee’s newest party band EX-GOLD trickles their way up the Mississippi to play here for their first time. Fast, gassed and born out of a can of whoop ass, EX-GOLD just released a three track EP with each song raking in under 2 minutes and 15 seconds. We can expect a full length debut LP on Striped Light records later this year but for now, we’re soaking in raw greatness before the juice gets loose.Chicago band LUGGAGE is comprised of members of BASIC CABLE, LOOSE DUDES and CLEARED. Formed in 2015, they've already given the world a debut LP, Sun, on Automatic Recordings and a solid follow-up record with Three (Don Giovanni). The trio's dark, noisy blend of shoegaze, post-punk and droning psychedelia is intensely hypnotic. After a riotous Record Store Day, DJ Matt Jencik closes up shop and heads over to the Bottle to keep the juice flowing as he'll be spinnin' choice records for all before, during and after the show.
