Voigt Kampff

Voigt Kampff are an Electro outfit formed in the late 80's in Dundee, Scotland by Graffiti Writers Synk & Lyken Love.
The lineup was completed when local Scratch DJ & Graffiti Artist Mr Vera joined the fray in the mid 90's.
Taking their Influences from Streetsounds Electro Records, Kraftwerk, the soundtracks of John Carpenter, early Hip Hop & the writings of Philip K Dick, VK released the "Real Men Use Carplan" 12" on Panic Trax in 1997 (subsequently re-released as "Skinnycap" by Mighty Robot Recordings in 2006).
By the late 90's VK had lost an original member & gained several, releasing an album of instrumental hip hop entitled "Used"
The original line up of Synk, Lyken & Vera are working on new material between Scotland & Shanghai, to be released through Mighty Robot.
Early Voigt Kampff recordings have been released under the moniker "The Silver Locusts" on Penalty Records, while Synk has released work along side Andy Wake as one half of "The Andies" on Stuff Records.
