Cody Canada was the lead singer/songwriter of the Oklahoma-based rock-country band Cross Canadian Ragweed from their inception in 1998 to their dissolution in 2010. In that time they sold over a million albums. Cody Canada has returned to vintage Cross Canadian form seizing the opportunity to take the lead of his four-piece band, The Departed, with a newly energized inspiration to get back to his roots. The time he spent pursuing new creative paths with The Departed was a blessing, allowing him time to develop a rejuvenated appreciation for Ragweed's legendary body of work and the connections it made with fans.

815 -1000 Cory Jackson
Cory Jackson is an independent singer, songwriter, musician, and all-around entertainer that is making the quest to bridge the gap between today's modern country and the classic sounds of the past with his compositions and performance both in and out of the studio. Cory was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and grew up in a small rural farm community just outside of Jonesboro, where he attended Westside school district. In his early teen years, he began his big dream of performing his own songs for his fans on a big stage, even though he had yet to pen his first song. He had a guitar and had played around with it, but had not yet gained a real desire to learn all that was needed to fulfill his dream. As he entered his high school years, his grandfather urged him to begin to take music a little more seriously and to play and write. That encouragement has rendered many songs that Cory has writers credit on, and many of those songs have been recorded on his own album collections. To date, he has released two albums, and is currently working on a third. The first, his self-titled EP "Cory Jackson", was released in February of 2015. This collection contained five songs, four of which Cory had writer credit on. His second EP "Let's Get It Right" was released in May of 2016. This album also contained five songs and contained three songs that Cory had writer credit on. The third album is currently being recorded in the studio and will be his first full-length, ten song album. One single has been released that will be on the new album. "Row by Row", written by Cory and one of his band members, Matt Thomas, is a song about the hard working American farmer. It describes the everyday life of a farmer from the beginning of each day through his whole life that is dedicated to making ends meet. The single is also accompanied by the release of a video. In addition to being a seasoned veteran in the studio, Cory is also no stranger to the live stage. In fact, he's right at home in front of a crowd, and has a natural ability for connecting with the audience. His live shows display his ability to connect the audience of the young and the old alike. With song choices filling the set list that include George Strait, Charlie Pride, Ronnie Milsap, Merle Haggard, Eddie Rabbitt, Don Williams, Alabama, Brett Eldrige, David Naill, Chris Young, and Keith Urban...just to name a few...every member of the audience will walk away having heard something that they are familiar with, regardless of their age. Also, they will hear a few songs from his collection of originals. In just three years, Cory has many accomplishments under his belt. In 2015, he entered a contest sponsored by Snag-A-Job. The contest required the artist to produce a video on their own of one of their original songs. He scored in the top five out of almost one thousand entries. In 2016, he entered a talent search sponsored by the world renowned country radio station, WSM 650AM in Nashville. After a performance in each of three rounds - a preliminary, the semi-final, and the final round - he was named the overall winner and scored the opening position playing before the legendary Oak Ridge Boys at the Wilson County Fair in Lebanon, Tennessee. 2017 has also provided positive achievements for him as well. Cory was invited once again by WSM 650AM in Nashville to participate in another contest known as The Road Show in conjunction with a weekend radio program hosted by Tracy Lawrence. Cory was chosen as one of the three winners, which opened for Tracy Lawrence for one of his concerts in Hopkinsville, KY, in August 2017. Being an “entertainer” requires more than just being able to sing or play a guitar. The artist has to be able to use their talent to create a connection to their audience every time they are in the spotlight on the stage. Cory has the ability to connect to his audience no matter what the venue setting. Whether it's a laid back acoustic performance, or his high energy stage show, he makes the transition for each performance ease. He is very active on the social media platform, with postings on his Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat accounts several times a week, and continues to grow his fanbase across the Southeast region of the United States, following his performances. Live video performances can be found on his website or by searching Youtube. Join us The Camp at Lake Wappapello on April 14th. Doors open at 6:00pm.
