The Ska - Toons ( North East )

The Skatoons initially formed in 2008 as a 5-piece band, but, quickly expanding to a 8-piece. We had only intended on gigging once a month until someone said we had nose dived. This fuelled us with the determination and provided us with the driving force to prove them wrong.

We accepted every booking we could, resulting in the hardest working and most sought after band in the UK, attracting a big following. There are not enough weekends in the year for us, working 2-3 days most weeks, with everyone trying to book the band.

We distance ourselves from politics, religion and football, leaving only the music and enjoyment of performing to a variety of hugely receptive audiences.

The band is made up from ex members of the Gangsters Of Ska and Alive & Kicking, featuring a 3-piece horn section and the most highly skilled engineers/tech team. Some band members have even been spotted playing in line-ups with Bad Manners , The Toasters , Penetration & The Clash City Rockers to name but a few.

We do look forward to the coming year, the shows and fantastic crowds. A big thanks to everyone who has played with us, booked us and supported us an a audience over the past years.
Our music is played with pride and passion and has held us together strongly.
