New Spell Biography

Dynamic dark indie pop project New Spell is the moniker of San Francisco Bay Area-based singer-songwriter Leanne Kelly. In artfully textured, lavish indie-pop songs, Leanne pulls from her background in psychotherapy to create poignant lyrics about the digital age, climate change, and the human experience. Working alongside producer Max Savage and longtime musical collaborator Jacob Frautschi has yielded dynamic, cerebral songs with haunting vocals, glitchy beats, and a mesmerizing modern synth aesthetic.
