Wanda Jae

Wanda Jae’, born Wanda J. Manier on March 21st, is a singer, songwriter, who performs with unmatched skills. A Kansas City, KS native, Manier’s musical journey started from childhood. Inspired by real life experiences, Wanda used music as a form of therapy. Wanda has the ability to grasp from every genre of music, particularly rooted in gospel, and soul.
In 2011 Wanda decided to pursue music as a profession. Currently, Jae is a 6-year veteran of the Kansas City music scene gaining experience by working with seasoned artists and following in the teachings of notable figures and mentors. Wanda Jae joined forces with Funk Syndicate (of Kansas City) in August 2012 and continued with them until 2015. In January 2016, she formed her own band, branding it "Wanda Jae & The Grind". They are currently performing throughout the Kansas City area. Jae's versatility has enabled her to open up for artists such as the Little River band, Ringo Star, and the Irish sensation band The Elders. She has also contributed background vocals on shows for R & B group Brownstone, and Blues singer Kelley Hunt. Wanda linked up with a popular soul band in the area called KC All Stars August 2016 and will continue to provide lead vocals with them as needed.

Wanda Jae has been described as an energetic well-rounded musician, whose stage presence is an uncanny experience. The no holds bar attitude in music sets her apart from the rest. She is often recognized by her efforts to bring soul back into today’s R&B and Neo-Soul music. Her single "Heart on the Run" was released in 2016 teaming up with producers Kevin 'Church Boi' Johnson, Doriel Demps & Anthony Saunders. Wanda is currently working on upcoming projects with talented producers for a scheduled music release in the fall of 2018.
