Papisa

Rita Oliva, also known as PAPISA, is a singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist from São Paulo. She was previously a member of the bands Cabana Café and Parati before embarking on her solo career. PAPISA's music falls under the indie psych rock and dream pop genres, and sounds new in both genders with lyrics in Portuguese and strong influences from Brazilian music.

Having performed at prominent stages in Brazil, PAPISA recently completed a North American tour in March 2024, including appearances at three festivals, such as SXSW in Austin, Texas. Her single "Dores no Varal" was selected as the Song of the Day by Seattle's KEXP radio, and her second album "Amor Delírio" was just released by Spanish label Costa Futuro. These recent developments mark a new phase in PAPISA's career, as she expands into the international market, delivering emotionally-driven music based on sensitivity and connection.
