Every year the Grand National comes to Liverpool. every year horses die, get injured and abandoned. This year we want to do something about it.

During the day many people picket the grand national to raise awareness about the atrocities involved with horse racing. We encourage anyone who wants to get involved with this to contact the Merseyside Animal Rights Group through.

This event is a fundraising event for a charity called Shy Lowen near Thornton, Liverpool. A charity run by volunteers who rescue abandoned and abused horses, caring for these animals and running animal therapy sessions with disadvantaged children.
