Rising from just north of Atlanta, Georgia, comes hard hitting alternative hard rock band Misty Eyed. Lead by compelling and dynamic vocalist Megan Burke and accompanied by guitarist John Eck, with his powerful riffs and melodies, and bassist Wes Powell, who solidly holds down the groove and rhythm, this trio brings a new edge to early 2000s alternative rock. With nods to artists such as Breaking Benjamin, Evanescence, Nothing More, and Five Finger Death Punch to legends like Ozzy Osbourne, Heart and Metallica, Misty Eyed is not shy to exploring their sound and pulling influences from a multitude of artists and genres. Firmly rooted in the idea that our own personal realities are only a collection of the perspectives around us, Misty Eyed showcases these beliefs in the music and lyrics they write; showing that no two people have the same story and that each of those stories deserve to be displayed in their most authentic and genuine form. Formed in 2016, Megan, John, and Wes have continued to grow their sound and their platform. With notable performances alongside of Hollywood Undead, DIAMANTE, Lacey Sturm, and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, a stand out appearence in Virginia at Blue Ridge Rock Fest with a slate to return again in 2021, Misty Eyed has no shortage of growth ahead of them. After signing with 59 X Records in 2019 and bringing new life to one of their first tracks with S.O.S anyone can see their reign will only grow.
