Not to be sexist or anything, but "Gentlemen of Soul" brings together all the top male talent of the R&B genre, and for one night puts them on the stage of Microsoft Theater in L.A. to do their thing. R&B-dance legends The Whispers have been delivering dance-ready hits for nearly 50 years. Formed in Los Angeles, The Whispers topped the charts in the '70s and '80s with harmony-strong singles like "Rock Steady," "And the Beat Goes On," "Can You Do the Boogie," and more. Grammy-nominated R&B hitmaker Jeffrey Osborne kicked off his career more than 40 years ago as the lead singer for funk-soul group L.T.D. His 1982 hit single "On the Wings of Love" launched a successful solo career that includes five gold and platinum albums, collaborations with Dionne Warwick ("Love Power") and such beloved pop singles as "You Should Be Mine," "Don't Stop" and "Stay With Me Tonight." If you haven't already died and gone to soul heaven, revive yourself because Peabo Bryson, Freddie Jackson and Howard Hewett will make you swoon some more.

Man this show was just what I needed to end my summer. My wife and I had a ball good old school music. And Frankie at 72 he put it down and my favorite of all the Whispers them boys still got it after 50 years and Blue Magic put it down as well. This concert topped my summer.
