Well, due to Johnny's illness they canceled the show here but I was able to make the Detroit show and still have the VIP packages my friend and I bought for he grand Rapids show We just had to buy separate tickets to the venue in Detroit. The staff at 20 monroe live was amazing and answered all questions and assisted me in every way possible.
The music was great! Same with the band. I wish it wasnt GA thiugh. I had a VIP package, but with the GA ended up getting smashed with people pushing really close behind me. Had to leave the crowd due to almost fainting. Thank goodness for the security letting me go to the side to recover myself. That was before the music even started. Would be nice if the VIP had a section to the side too. If the wanted to
It was a great show as always with the band. Jon was battling a cold at a minimum maybe a little bit more than that is he said he wasn't feeling well but his voice held up pretty good and he didn't let the crowd down. Robby was all over the stage as usual putting on a great performance.
I love this band and I loved this record so much back then. So hearing some of those songs live (Bulletproof, All Eyes on Me, Hate This Place) gave me shivers. And some of those lyrics still hit me like they used to ... They are amazing live and John's sense of humour is awesome. I travelled from Germany to Boston for this and I had a blast. So thank you, Goo Goo Dolls!!!
One of the best GGD shows I’ve been to and I’ve been to 68. I love seeing them in Buffalo, I love the old songs they haven’t played in ages, and I loved the addition of the string section for Dizzy Up The Girl!
I know these guys are incredible but the show being an album anniversary tour seemed to be cut short or something. The set ran at least 1hour 15mins. Regular shows sets run about or more than that amount of time. Doesn't really matter they deserve much respect for geniune talent & longevity. Amazingly original as well. Keep it up guys!! 💕💞💕
