Evening concert with The Bookshop Band
Thursday, May 17th, 2018
6:00 PM
Fowey Literature Festival (Town Hall)
Fowey, United Kingdom
After a very successful appearance at the Festival a few years ago, we are delighted to welcome back, the fabulously entertaining The Bookshop Band. They are the offspring of a love affair between one of the UK's finest independent bookshops and an award winning team of composers and songwriters. They have worked with over 100 authors to create a huge body of book-inspired music and they were recently commissioned to write songs for the launch of Philip Pullman's The Book Of Dust. Their show draws you in to a world of books you may not have read before, with melodies and stories that will stay with you long after the concert.

“Really fabulous new music… just delightful. I really like them very much” Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2.

“The Bookshop Band’s approach to song writing is entirely original, and the results are both surprising and beautiful. They are two talented musicians coming to the same point from different directions.” Louis De Bernieres, author of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin.
Wine and soft drinks available.
