Fan Just Snazz Biography

Just Snazz was birthed Jasmine Lyons on a beautiful fall night Monday September 25, 1989. In her hometown of musically renowned Detroit, MI she was raised by her mother but lacked the luxury of her father's presence. This lifestyle of a single parent home emotionally affected Snazz, but like any champion she did not let it determine her success. Rolling through life as a child she grasped onto music early. This beautiful affair began with the violin and eventually trickled into the joining of a glee club. Despite being teased by her peers Snazz stood behind her enjoyment of the club, showing her ability to be individualistic before her time. Yet, it wasn't until she sang a Christmas solo during a school program that she realized that music would be a crucial part of her life. From that moment on Snazz craved the spotlight and has been on the road ever since.

Although music had found a place in Snazz's heart academics were of major importance as well. She excelled in her studies and had a passion to learn. So much was her dedication that she made honor roll each semester of school. Along with these achievements came her father's random appearances. In the times he was present he influenced Snazz to become a lawyer as he was in practice. This idea soon buried her dreams to be in the world of music. During the years that she laid music aside she encountered much loss and loneliness that threw her into a world of depression. Experiencing the death of her grandmother and he father once again deserting her Snazz felt as if she was alone. With no one to turn to she discovered artists in the likes of Eminem and Jay Z to keep her grounded. Shortly after, she began to embark on writing her feelings through poetry which soon enough evolved into rap.

With this new avenue Snazz wrote on a constant but never considered that anyone would be interested in the content of her music. She never took it serious regardless of freestyling for others on laid back days. One day she made the decision to start making videos of her rapping and posting them on YouTube. In her then dorm room Snazz began recording herself and posting it online. To her appreciation people gave incredible and supportive response as well as feedback. She began officially recording in 2008. With her popular tracks "Snazzy Go Hard" and "King of Sorrow" she began to imprint her name into the city. Though she went on a short hiatus she came back with her creative, personal, yet fun mixtape "Summertime in Detroit." Currently Snazz is blazing her own trail and going full throttle at the dream she began chasing. Her story in truth is just beginning.
