About the John Ferrara + Seth Moutal Duo:

John Ferrara (bassist for Consider the Source) had been working on solo material for quite some time but in doing so realized that some of the songs needed something more. His first thought was to contact an amazingly talented drummer and multi percussionist, Seth Moutal, to bounce ideas off of. What they created together was something unique, a genre all it's own, with sounds ranging from fusion to rock, jazz, world music, progressive rock, classical and minimalism.

They cover a lot of ground with just two people. John plays bass and loops tapping and slap lines while playing lead over them often while playing homemade midi foot pedals with his feet. Seth plays drum set, tabla and hand drums and also mixes all three of them together at times to create a very full drum and percussion landscape. Between the two of them they manage a massive sound that ranges from slow, ambient songs to solo pieces to full force prog and jazz fusion epics.
