Durieux Biography

Durieux is a Bronx-based band known for an idiosyncratic, yet moving, take on Alternative R&B/Soul. Led by singer and rhythm guitarist Bryan Durieux, the band originally begun as a solo act. Over time, the music evolved to a point where Bryan began to perform on stage with a full band behind him. The blend of Bryan’s talent melded with soulful bass (Seth "Happy" Nicholson), groove centric drums (Danny Castro), and intricate guitar (Gannon Ferrell) is a sight to see. Bryan is a story teller and a performer that writes his lyrics, from the heart, based on experiences in life that anyone can find relatable. Blend that with sound of his band and it becomes an experience that will have you in your feelings, but also make you want to groove and be on stage with them singing your heart out. Durieux has performed on stages all over NYC and beyond. In NY he has performed at notable venues such as Rockwood Music Hall, Arlene’s Grocery, Mercury Lounge, Pianos, Bowery Electric, Central Park, The Groove, The Bronx Museum of The Arts, and The Apollo where he earned 2nd place at Amateur Night. He has also had the opportunity to play in Chicago, Texas, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Oakland.

The band has shared the stage with high caliber artists since its inception such as Marcus Machado, Teskey Brothers, Sugaray Rayford, Vagabon just to name a few. Durieux has also had the opportunity to work with some amazing organizations (Bronx Council On The Arts, Stronger Than Stigma, Bronx Music Heritage Center, CCCADI, and Sennheiser Electronics Company) successfully making art and music more accessible to the community with free concerts.

Durieux's goal is to bring the euphoric experience of community through music. Create a space where we all relate on an emotional level and collectively find solace within ourselves at the end of every performance. Be sure to check out all of the singles and their debut album "Something Real" is now available on all streaming platforms..
