This show was great. Jake getting his hair stuck in his guitar after playing behind his head was a classic “This is Spinal Tap” moment. I really loved the way Sam was cracking up when it happened. Also I love that they performed “You’re the One” and I predict that will be a huge hit off the forthcoming new album.

I thought GvF meandered too long between their best songs and the sound was just awful on the side of the stage. Love the band. Thought the show at Southside was meh...

They were AMAZING!! Only downside was that the festival planners started their show 10 minutes before the scheduled show time, so we missed their first song. We were very disappointed that we didn’t get to see their entire show, but that didn’t have anything to do with the band. We can’t wait to see Greta Van Fleet again...love them!!!

My stars are only for GVF, they rocked the house. Southside Ballroom is not a good venue. I’ve been to many concerts all over the US, not my first rodeo, so I feel well qualified to talk. Started queuing mid afternoon, they split us into two lines, instead of carding before doors they carded at entry. Not ok. We queue to make rail not to mosey around waiting for a wristband as all the underage or non drinkers run in front of us to get in. Needless to say I didn’t wait to get a wristband so I could secure my spot. Got my spot, people next to me were kind enough to hold it while I got a drink. Nope you need a wristband no carding once you’re in. Card people and wristband them before doors like every other venue. Next up is the sound which is terrible. Sound check was great, we could hear it outside. The speaker system inside is deafening. I never needed ear protection until last night. My hearing is still not 100%. I literally couldn’t stop holding my ears, I was right under one of the speakers of doom. A security person noticed and saved me by handing me ear plugs. Despite the plugs songs were almost unrecognizable because of distortion. Everyone around complained about how they couldn’t hear because their hearing was negatively impacted by the speaker system. If i didn’t have plugs i would have had to move to the back. I love Greta Can Fleet, they were amazing, the venue is a hard no for me unless one of my favorite bands is playing there. I’m going again on Tuesday for that reason only. If it weren’t Arctic Monkeys I wouldn’t go.

Dorothy was one of the best openers ive ever seen, excellent bonus. The Fleet just killed it and they should be put on your bucket list. Southside ballroom however gets 0 stars by packing in 4k people like sardines so u can barely see the show. I'm 6'2" and had to fight for a view.

GVF put on a power-packed show and really brought it! Their performance was high energy throughout and they showcased just how talented they are as musicians. These guys are just getting started... I only wish the audio levels weren't so high during the show. Since the amps at the Marquee are suspended so close to the audience, there isn't a need to have the volume so loud. It made the vocals and guitar sound distorted at times. I may have left with my ears ringing, but I'll be back for more!
