About this concert
February is a month that will see locals of the popular small Ashgrove bar and venue come together for a series of gigs celebrating neighbourhood community spirit. Every Thursday in February will feature a local artist with their choice of support. Kellie Lloyd of Brisbane band Screamfeeder explains the sessions “We thought it was a nice way to connect our community in the area, there are quite of few musicians who live close by on the west side and I thought instead of doing just a one off gig with all of us, we could create a special series of gigs, like a month long festival of Thursday nights. The Junk Bar is such a wonderful place to see someone play and it’s the place brings us together and the sound the Jamie gets in there is nothing if not magical”.

Kellie Lloyd Music Biography
i play electric guitar and usually have a drummer play live with me. i write rock songs and i have a new solo album out. but don't just take my word for it......is is from a review at a show in London recently...."Kellie Lloyd was the first standout act of the night. Her unfussy alt-rock, driven by straightforward power-chord progressions, her sweet yet powerful voice and instantly memorable hooks borrowed heavily from The Breeders showcased her song writing nuance." thank you, that is all. https://open.spotify.com/artist/6JSM4VklpcP8cCQzCR9BNF http://kellielloyd.bandcamp.com/ paypal.me/kellielloyd If you wanna buy me a coffee
