The Wyatts Biography

Who are The Wyatts? Like all artists, they are mortal men standing
on the shoulders of giants, and listening closely to what they have to say.

When The Wyatts first emerged in 2005, they knew that music, love, and family
were things not easy to hold onto, and even harder to let go of. Over the last 12
years, this quintessential “band of brothers” has traversed the radio dial with
their blend of roots rock, pop, and infectious alt-country americana, all wrapped
together in a rock and roll soul. Never afraid to allow their influences to take
center stage, the Wyatts maintain a modern vision while acknowledging those
classic sounds of the past.

The first few years found the Wyatts focusing on their country foundations.
Thy played major festivals like Country Thunder in Florance, AZ and shared the stage with
such renowned artists as: Dirks Bentley, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jason Aldean,
Roger Clyne and The Peacemakers. They then found the support of radio stations in2005 with their charted Americana hit “24 Miles”, (off of their self-titled debut,
The Wyatts). They evolved again with the 2007 release The Continuing Saga of
The Wyatts, Volume One. With both national airplay (reaching #36 on the Roots
Music Charts) and local awards (Best Band in Tucson, Tucson Weekly- 2006, 2007
& 2008) the Wyatts were gathering the steam they needed to fully let loose their
powerful musical vision. After a hectic five years of regional touring, The Wyatts
had become one of Arizona’s top musical acts, and they knew even more change
was yet to come.

Lead singer/songwriter Roscoe Wyatt departed for California in the spring of
2012 to complete the band’s third studio release “Forgive Me”. Much-needed time
away from the road allowed the artists to refocus and fine tune their vision and
their sound. Blurring the bounds of what country music is and what rock and roll
has become (or may have lost), their upcoming 2018’s “Forgive Me” draws
on past influences. The sound has a more focused, finely-crafted pop
sensibility layered on top of the country roots that have always been at the heart
of the Wyatts’ sound. What has emerged is a more mature Americana vision
based on soul, truth and heart.

Now resettled into the clean mountain air of Colorado, The Wyatts are bringing
their sound back to life with live performances for their audiences in Colorado
and Arizona. Some new songs, new faces and a renewed excitement is bubbling
just beneath the surface. Leading this “traveling honkytonk roadshow” is
Roscoe Wyatt- songwriter, lead vocalist, guitarist, and provider of the spiritual soul
and direction for this “blessed curse” he calls The Wyatts.

Are you ready to board this train and embrace the vision with Roscoe and the
boys? Wyatt not! Be prepared for tone, truth, and twang (and don’t forget your dancing shoes.)
