Last Triumph, JUST, & alclair Present... Marah in the Mainsail, & Good Morning Bedlam LIVE at Cherrywood Coffeehouse on March 15th! Showtime: 12:00PM - 2:30PM No Cover / No Badge Required ALL AGES Cinematic is the word most often used to describe Marah in the Mainsail's sound. Precise yet primitive jungle drums set the stage for the eclectic and powerful ensemble to sweep you away into their haunting world. Like oil and water, Durry's gravel voice alongside Mercedes's crystal clarity form a stirring, yet beautiful contrast. All being thrust forward by aggressive percussion, growling bass, and soaring brass. Their lyrics paint a thrilling picture of monsters and ghosts, murderers and thieves, love and guilt, and everything in between. "A Musical Masterpiece" -Summer Camp Music Festival "Albums like this give me real faith in music" -Whiskey Rhythm "Truly epic in storytelling and production" -City Pages Visit marahinthemainsail.com ----------------------------------------------------------------- Good Morning Bedlam is often mistaken as siblings, owing partly to their members’ similar looks: two curly, red-haired girls and two guys with Minnesota tattoos and piercings. But their cohesion goes beyond appearances. Their show is an explosion of energy with soaring harmonies, a banjo player that scissor-kicks in the air, a string bass that will shake your chest, and a beat that will have your foot stomping through the floor. One fan describes their music as “furious folk!” Every song is a unique twist on what is generally dubbed as folk music. Minneapolis-based Good Morning Bedlam has a beautiful rootsy folk authenticity that’s absolutely integral to the success of the genre.” -Nick Warren (Erie Reader) “Seriously amazing. Awesome sound, harmony, and chemistry. So talented!” -Vanessa (Fan) “Beautifully crafted roots music with range and depth. Catch them live and you'll understand why people love them so much.” -Rick (Fan) Visit goodmorningbedlam.com ----------------------------------------------------------------- Sponsored by: lasttriumph.com justwater.com alclair.com A B Corporation member, Last Triumph aims to bolster their impact by partnering up with celebrated B Corporation brand JUST water for the tour, together, leading a movement in sustainability. This quartet from Minneapolis upheld that cities incredible musical genes with a captivating performance of originals, and even tossed in a cover of “All About That Bass,” adding their own unique style served up with more sass and a twang of bluegrass. Clearly sharing a passion for music and playing with each other, you can tell they have a lot of different musical influences, and the incorporate those into their own original style along with tempo changes and surprised layered with their lush vocals. Such a great so see them in an intimate setting such as Elk City Records, Charleston’s newest independent record store which is quickly gaining a reputation for high quality clean vinyl and great sounding small live performances.
