Saturday April 14th Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Famers, Ronnie Spector & the Ronettes, will be performing to benefit the FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties at the historic Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank. Very Special Guest Remember Jones will be opening the show. Ronnie Spector rose to fame as the lead singer of the ultimate Girl-Group – The Ronettes. With hits like “Baby I Love You” “Walking in the Rain” & their international #1 smash “Be My Baby” to name a few. Only a few artists in history have been capable of defining an entire era in pop music. Ronnie Spector is one of those artists: the embodiment of the heart, soul, and passion of female rock and roll in the 1960s. And to this day, no one has ever surpassed Ronnie’s powerful trademark vocals & her gutsy attitude. For these qualities and more, Ronnie Spector and the Ronettes, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in March 2007. No stranger to the Jersey shore sound, Ronnie recorded her version of “Say Goodbye to Hollywood” backed by Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, sang duet with Southside Johnny, and appeared with both bands on tour. Back by popular demand, after his standing ovation performance in December at the Basie with Darlene Love: Remember Jones and his band. Jones is a one-of-a-kind soul/pop singer , story teller & bandleader with a throwback vibe & authentic energy. Supported by an ensemble of musicians, the band has played to countless packed & sold out ballrooms, clubs and theaters throughout the country. Presented by Sammy Boyd Productions
