Four great bands for the price of one! This one night mini festival showcases the best of the Boston music scene, featuring Danielle Miraglia, Lisa Bastoni, Ryan Fitzsimmons and Diablogato. Danielle is a Spire favorite and comes armed with a strong steady thumb on an old Gibson, an infectious stomp-box rhythm and harmonica with tunes ranging from heart-felt to socially conscious that will move both your heart and hips. Her latest "All My Heroes Are Ghosts," released with her band Danielle M and The Glory Junkies touches on a lot of what might be on your mind these days – the loss of so many musical heroes on the title track, the chaos of “fake news” on “Monster,” the general sense that the world is on fire on “All On Fire,” the more personal with the death of a complicated loved one on “Guilt Trip” and more. Lisa is another Spire favorite, has opened for several act, and is making her headline debut! After a break of about a decade away from music, a career change and two children, Lisa Bastoni has released The Wishing Hour (2017), produced by Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Felix McTeigue (Lori McKenna/Anais Mitchell). Lisa’s visceral and personal songs have recently earned a number of multiple awards The Wishing Hour debuted as #1 most played album on Boston's WUMB. Ryan will be making his debut performance at the Spire. Over the past 10 years Ryan has woven his way throughout New England, creating a strong presence in a number of the local music scenes. While living in Providence RI, the Providence Phoenix awarded him the title of Best Male Vocalist. Upon relocating to the Boston area Ryan and his band have become a fixture in the Americana scene with regular appearances at venerable Cambridge venues such as Club Passim, the Lizard Lounge and Toad. Also making their Spire debut is Diablogato. The sound of Boston's Diablogato is hard to describe. It's not rockabilly. Not punk rock. It isn't garage, soul, gothic southern swamp, or straight mid-century American rock and roll…it's all those things, unified and strengthened by the darkness that lies within us all and set ablaze onto the stage for all to bare witness.
