The BA Jazz course at London's Middlesex University has been producing innovative and highly creative musicians ever since its inception in 1993. Hans Koller, Femi Temowo and Stian Westerhus were all Middlesex students, and a new wave of Middlesex composers and improvisers such as Led Bib, Maria Chiara Argirò and Binker Golding have recently had a major impact on the UK jazz scene.
MDX Jazz Presents is a collaboration with 'Spicejazz' promoter Paul Pace at the Spice of Life in Soho to promote the work of current and ex-students of the Middlesex course.
