About this concert
Nobool Presents Minnesota HOMEGROWN Showcase Featuring The Bad Man, The Shackletons, Loons in the Attic, & Whale in the Thames Friday, February 2 at The Hook and Ladder Theater Doors 7:30pm :: Music 8pm :: 21+ $6 Advance / $8 Day of Show Unprepared, loud, and rowdy, The Bad Man came together in 2016 to dust off the Minneapolis sound. Written in three months, their debut album Ain't Clean pays homage to the classic punk songbook while laying a foundation for the back-alley bounce the band is becoming known for. The Bad Man is currently working on their sophomore release. In the meantime: bum a ride, see them live, they're worth the cover charge. The Shackletons are a rock/blues band out of the Twin Cities writing and playing songs rooted in the rich influence of the “Minnesota Sound.” The band at its core consists of Colin Campbell (vocals/guitar), his older brother, Cameron (Bass), and younger brother Evan (Drums/miscellaneous screaming). Living a double life as both a knee-buckling indie rock band as well as a stomp-your-foot-through-the-floor blues band, Colin Campbell & The Shackletons have been generating buzz throughout the Twin Cities area and have been hailed as one of the “Best New Bands.” Loons in the Attic is an eclectic five-piece rock band in Minneapolis, MN. Playing indie, alternative, psychedelic rock, they have a knack for writing catchy melodies and keeping songs simple, yet interesting. This is a fun, likable band with a quirky, smart sense of humor that always brings a lot of energy to their live performances. Whale in the Thames is a Band built of Rock, Wood, Liquid and Love. Formed in 2011 when friends got together for a Trip Underground to the Basement of all Basements to have a Jam/Reunion. These Songs Sung in French, English and Gibberish all flowed from their own Roots of Friendship. Sometime in 2012 the Band came out of the Basement of Basements and it was Friends Playing Music Above Ground for Friends and Friends of Friends It was Still Fun. Back from recent Summer 2016 Performances and Adventures in France, Whale in the Thames is Happy to Announce they have a Self Titled Album on both CD and Vinyl available Now! (Shout Out to France! Thank You France! We Love You!)

Loons in the Attic Biography
Loons in the Attic is surely one of the most interesting bands in Minneapolis. A 5 piece rock band, drawing influence from every genre, but not falling neatly into one themselves, Loons in the Attic play a mix of psychedelic pop and punk rock. LITA has established themselves as one of the hardest working bands in the Twin Cities. With two releases under their belt, Loons in the Attic (2015) and Pick a Color (2015), the band has continued growing while playing exciting, high-energy live shows and constantly recording new material. The band’s ambitious, two-part album, Future Man + and Future Man - are anticipated to release summer 2017 and Fall 2017 respectively.
