The Hollerin Sluggers Biography
Rocking, Amazing, Electrifying, dynamic and leaving you wanting more, best describes a Hollerin Sluggers performance.
Hailing from Sydney's Northern Beaches, a traditional hotbed of rock n roll, the Sluggers are a refreshingly new generation of Aussie rock and blues acts. . This trio joins the resurgence of bands that identify with and gives a huge nod to their forebears.
The Aussie pub scene was a suburban ritual for the working man, for a moment in time where bands, influenced by the blues men of the Deep South, moulded the blues baby rock n roll into an edgy dirty swagger of irresistible rebellion that detached itself from society.
The sluggers combined experience of Owen Mancell on guitars/vocals , Tim Cramer on Bass/Vocals and Andy Thor on drums/harmonica shine through to deliver a foot stomping and hip shaking heart pumping show that captures the crowds attention .
On debut in March 2016 "The Promised Land" entered the AMRAP and Australian Blues n Roots Radio Airplay Charts.
Their new album “Gypsy Mojo” is due for release in February 2017 and has already met with promising reviews.
“Grab this album while you can and in years to come you can tell your grandchildren how real music sounded!”
