Scotland, United Kingdom
Country On The Clyde (Presented by UK Country Live) returns for its second event in 2018, making the weekends of Glasgow C2C-goers and music enthusiasts even bigger and better, adding to the incredible line-up on show at the SSE Hydro. In association with Buckle & Boots Country Festival, Country On The Clyde will give fans the opportunity to see the cream of UK country alongside a selection of some fabulous international acts, right on the bank of the River Clyde. The line-up is packed full of hugely talented performers with a stellar array of accomplishments. BCMA International Touring Act Of The Year, Jenn Bostic, will be appearing, showcasing brand new material from her upcoming album ‘Revival’ (be sure to check out her PledgeMusic campaign to get involved!). Jenn has wowed audiences for a number of years all over the UK with recognition from the BBC and sold-out tours as part of ‘A Night In Nashville’, and you can be first in line to have a taste of her new music! Kenny Foster has shared the stage with artists including Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves, Brothers Osborne, Old Dominion and countless others. Prior to receiving recognition as ‘One To Watch’ by Rolling Stone, he has been featured in two Superbowl commercials with Sheryl Crow and Danica Patrick, respectively. Kenny has appeared in numerous episodes of ABC's "Nashville" and had songs placed in "Extreme Home Makeover" and "Boston Med." His album ‘Deep Cuts’ was released last year and garnered critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic. UK Country Live have also brought together some of the UK’s finest country talents for your listening pleasure. Reigning BCMA Male Vocalist of the Year Gary Quinn will be performing, following co-writes with the likes of Steve Wariner and Phil Vassar out in Nashville and many years of experience and critical acclaim on the UK circuit. He will be joined by BCMA Female Vocalist Of The Year and online sensation Jade Helliwell, who stunned the UK last year with her viral performance of ‘Hallelujah’ and subsequently achieved a Top 5 all-genre EP with ‘Forget The Night’. Simon James, another one of 2017’s breakout UK country acts and fan favourites, will also be appearing to perform tracks from his ‘Ordinary Man’ album which saw him nominated for Horizon Act at the BCMAs, and you’ll also be treated to a performance from Scotland’s very own Ashton Lane. With chart-topping iTunes success last year and a loyal following both in the UK and around Europe, they’ll no doubt be impressing the Country On The Clyde audience with their warm, rootsy style of country music. But it doesn’t end there! At The Helm Records artist Robbie Cavanagh, championed by ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris on Radio 2, will be performing songs from his critically-acclaimed album ‘To Leave/To Be Left’. You’ll also have the chance to see another 2 up-and-comers, Morganway and Demi Marriner, both of whom gained plenty of new supporters at last year’s Buckle & Boots Festival and throughout a busy 2017 which resulted in BCMA Horizon nominations. There will also be an ‘In The Round’ session to start off each day which will feature some of the performers from across the weekend. The event will run from 12noon - 5pm on the Saturday and Sunday of C2C weekend. A 2-course lunch is available on both days until 2.30pm which you can book at www.the-ferry.co.uk
