Nick Pollock

A new star is emerging on the Charlottesville music scene. Nick Pollock is a talented, versatile singer-songwriter making a big splash. Practically born with a guitar in his hand, Nick began writing original music at ten. He first burst into public view with a coveted opening slot at Charlottesville’s Fridays After Five when he was only fifteen. Since then, he was twice the Central Virginia runner-up in the Reflections songwriting contest coming out of Louisa County Schools and he placed first in the Louisa County High School talent show in his junior year. Nick counts The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Chris Robinson and Jack Johnson, along with his veteran rocker dad, among his major musical influences. Over the past few years, Nick has been a returning favorite at The Crozet Music Festival and Misty Mountain Music Festival. Nick can often be found wowing the crowds with his original songs at such iconic Charlottesville venues as Miller’s and Durty Nelly’s Pub and McGrady’s,. He is also making his presence known in Harrisonburg and with JMU audiences. Last year, Nick debuted his EP, A Taste, at Fridays After Five on May 25, 2012, with a performance opening for The Chickenhead Blues Band. He continues to work on new, rocking songs and hopes to release his first full-length album sometime in the near future. Nick Pollock is a singer/songwriter hailing from Charlottesville,Virginia.
