Dizzy Spells Biography
Dizzy Spells is a three-piece indie-pop project based in Los Angeles, CA. After six years of writing, touring, and performing all across the PNW under the moniker "A Yawn Worth Yelling", core members Tyler Boyd (lead vocals, guitar), Taylor Stover (drums), and Brayden Deskins (guitar, keys, vocals) have rebranded and refocused their sound to cater to their pop sensibilities.
Dizzy Spells is a crystallization of what Ty, Tay, and Bray have always intended a collaboration between the three of them to be - fun, uplifting, authentic. With the immutable chemistry that only best friends can have, Dizzy Spells has been honing their craft and distilling their sound to be as sweet to listen to as possible - as Your Record Collection Sucks remarks, "More like Québécois maple than high fructose corn syrup...these gentlemen give those guys from ABBA a run for their cotton candy-asses."
Over the course of the last few years, Dizzy Spells has performed at the Bay Area's core music festival, BFD, opened for Saint Motel, and wrote the opening title song, "I'll Never Know", for the film "Megan Leavey". The group has been establishing themselves among the LA community, performing regularly at The Resident and gearing up for an upcoming show at The Satellite. With their single "Anyone But You" just having been released to critical acclaim and more singles, shows, and surprises in the works, Dizzy Spells is geared towards making a lasting impression with music they finally feel best represents them.
