Kristian Grostad Biography
The Norwegian singer-songwriter Kristian Grostad was called both a «pop jewel» and an «undiscovered super talent» by local and national press after releasing his debut single Apple Trees and the Sound of Bees in 2015. The following single Too Weak was played several times and recommended by national radio, and got international attention through the blog Indieshuffle.
During winter and spring 2017, he has been working with the highly acclaimed Norwegian musician and producer Even Ormestad (Jaga Jazzist, Thom Hell, Darling West), and recorded his first EP. Inspired by artists and bands such as Thomas Dybdahl, The Shins and Wilco, Kristian combines indiepop- and acoustic singer-songwriter tradition in an unrestrained and natural way.
The first single from the upcoming EP is called Slowly Drowning, and was released on September 1st.
