The great Yan Pascal Tortelier conducts the San Francisco Symphony and mezzo-soprano Susan Graham in a show-stopping performance comprised of French interpretations of classic texts at Davies Symphony Hall. Dubbed "America's favorite mezzo" by "Gramophone" magazine, Grammy Award-winning singer Susan Graham captivates audiences with her expressive voice, unusually tall and graceful stature and engaging acting ability. In this concert, you'll be treated to works by two of France's greatest composers, Debussy and Ravel. You'll hear Graham give her stirring rendition of Debussy's "Sarabande" from "Pour le Piano", followed by Debussy's "Danse" and two works by Ravel: "Shéhérazade" and "Daphnis et Chloé".
