Henri Herbert is a piano-playing phenomenon, and definitely one of the best and most sought after boogie woogie blues piano men in the world. The former pianist of the mighty Jim Jones Revue now blazes his own trail, and after extensive touring around the UK, Europe, USA and Canada both solo and with his band Henri Herbert and The Fury, including performances at SXSW and Cincinnati Blues Festival, Henri has firmly established himself as an electrifying live act and accomplished songwriter. Strongly influenced by the greats Albert Ammons, Pete Johnson and Jerry Lee Lewis and equally at ease with a pounding boogie or a soulful jazz standard, Herbert has amassed an incredible 16 million hits on Youtube for his performance at St Pancras train station..prepare for boogie detonation!

Henri Herbert is a master of his art Ged Babey, Louder Than War
Like Jools Holland possessed by Jerry Lee Lewis and The Devil Himself Jon Aizlewood, London Evening Standard

Supporting Henri Herbert will be Falmouth's very own theremin wielding tribal psychobilly cosmologists The Eyelids - who will be experimenting with prototypes of new material from their forthcoming EP alongside tracks from last year's well-received 'Cosmic Dust' LP.

A coruscating Faraday cage of rock'n'roll energies - Vive le Rock
Keeping the sizzling flame of rockabilly alive for a new generation - Louder Than War

Presented by BLIND PIG BOOGIE, suppliers of prohibition-era entertainment to Masked Ball and Boardmasters festivals, this night will transform the rugby club into a mystical den of mythical mayhem with music to match - organiser Leigh Delamere promises for this night of rockin' garage blues boogie, we might make an exception to our usual pre-war DJ policy to allow some rhythm'n'blues and early rock'n'roll. The authentic 1930's lighting and shabby decor will, however, remain as usual..
