Some musicians sing of love, others of pain, but only one is brave enough -- "brilliant" enough even -- to take up the entirety of human history as his subject, and that's Al Stewart. For more than 40 years, Stewart has been taking audiences on his own magical history tours filled with finely drawn character studies and detailed settings. Though perhaps best known for his international smash-hit album "Year of the Cat", he's continued to expand his worldview with each new record. See him in concert under the stars -- with an opening set by indie roots rockers The Empty Pockets -- at Ojai's Libbey Bowl.
