Ladykiller Biography
"These are those maniacs."
--Classic Rock Magazine
Motors that won't start, women that won't stop, jobs that don't let up, and habits that don't let go... But life's still a party.
With candid lyrics, roaring guitars, and punching rhythms, Ladykiller call their unique rock n' roll style New Wave Of Texas Heavy Metal in ode to both their classic influences and their Southern grit. Champagne and Cocaine is the second album by the party-rockers from Austin, Texas. This time around the raw power of the 2016 debut Greatest Tits has been revved up and fine-tuned, resulting in a set of songs both raucous and sophisticated.
Produced and recorded by Jeff Henson (Duel, Clutch), Champagne and Cocaine was released in August 2018 on the band’s own Rolling Thunder Records and showcases a knack for clever lyrics and interesting structure. The soaring vocal harmonies of Nothin’ To Prove (featuring guest vocalist James Clarke of Monte Luna), the twin guitars of Diamonds, and the ethereal bridge of Forty Dollar Blues all set the stage for the epic seven-and-a-half minute closer Endless Nights.
Ladykiller recorded so many vocal and guitar layers for the latest album, they ultimately could not remain a trio and in summer 2018 added guitarist Danny Wrath to the live version of the band. With the size of Austin shows growing and tour dates scheduled across the United States, Ladykiller is gearing up to take the party on the road. Keep your ears peeled!
