Runaway Hounds Biography
Driven by a passion to create and a love for music, twin brothers Owen (vocals/guitar) and Kent (lead guitar) Stavenuiter spent many of their school years experimenting with genres, sounds and instruments alongside classmate and close friend Dan Glover (bass). However, it was not until late 2016, with the arrival of Callum Ford (drums), that the group found their own distinguished sound and Runaway Hounds was born.
The UK four-piece bring driving indie rock, inspired by the likes of Catfish and the Bottlemen, Peace, and Arctic Monkeys, with the aim of providing energy and excitement to their audiences. Welcomed by both members and audiences of Wolverhampton's ever growing music scene, Runaway Hounds firmly established themselves as a band to watch after throwing themselves in the deep end - playing their debut gig at the Slade Rooms to a crowd of almost four hundred.
In their year following this, the band have played several headline sets in venues across the West Midlands and are soon to take their sound across the UK, performing to crowds as far as London.
It was in October last year when the band truly began to gain momentum with the release of their debut single 'Rattlesnake', gaining airplay and support from the likes of BBC Introducing and more. Following the success of the track, the band are soon to release their next single, 'Sophie', claiming it will 'push the massive Runaway Hounds sound further than before'.
