In association with The Nest Collective. Join India Electric Company for their UK ‘Seven Sisters’ tour. Sometimes folk, sometimes not, the duo uses traditional instruments in contemporary styles to explore diverse themes from Eastern Europe and Irish traditions, to urban alienation. They have recently performed live sessions on BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music, as well as performing at Glastonbury Festival. Described by BBC Radio 3’s Mary Ann Kennedy as “quirky and glittery – a veritable musical magpie’s nest”, this is one gig not to be missed. http://indiaelectricco.com Folk at the Foundling brings traditional music from the British Isles and beyond to the unique surroundings of the Foundling Museum, showcasing folk legends and breakthrough artists. Set in the Museum’s intimate Picture Gallery, the evenings offer the chance to explore the Museum and learn about its rich musical past. Guests can wander through the beautiful rooms whilst enjoying a drink, before hearing music from some of today’s best folk artists, brought to you by The Nest Collective in partnership with The Foundling Museum.
