Young Sullivan Biography

In February of 2014, While performing at Shiners Roadhouse in Chulafinnee, AL Brandon and Stephen were noticed by and accepted McCool Entertainment out of Nashville, TN as their management company headed up by Veteran Nashville insider Daphne Mitchell McCool and Josh Seabolt of "Hicklife" fame, whose management of Moccasin Creek shot them into the National Spotlight almost overnight. "This is a Very Big step for us in the direction we want to go. We want to be able to give back everything we can to the communities that made us the Music Fans that we are today. With all the musical influences that we both have had and been able to share though the years, it has brought us to where we are, and we could not be more grateful for our fans and our supportive families!" -Stephen Sullivan and Brandon Young Brandon Young and Stephen Sullivan are both from the Jacksonville, Alabama area, a city rich with musical talent and ability being on the doorstep to the biggest music and vocal major school in the southeast, Jacksonville State University. Stephen Sullivan started playing guitar at the young blossoming age of 14. He learned guitar by watching his father, Stephen Sullivan Sr. play, and learned how to harmonize through his Sister Christy. He was a member of His Church Choir tenor line and played in a small family gospel group with his Father, two sisters and other members of his Church. He joined his High School Choir at Jacksonville High School his Junior year where he was graced with his first ever Duet appearance for Voice, performing "The Christmas Song" with His dear friend Chara Dodson. He found his love of Music when he played trumpet in his High School Marching and Symphonic band under the Direction of Jeffery Gossett, where he had multiple solos in both. After graduating from Jacksonville High School in 1997, he joined the United States Air Force and went to Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX. He continued his training at GoodFellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, TX where he learned the Fine art of Fire Fighting. He was Stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska and served as an Airman of the 501st Support Group of the 55th Fighter Wing. After leaving the Air Force he moved to Florida, and after a couple years and a few Bad decisions later, he found himself back in his Home town of Jacksonville, Alabama, where he quickly applied to Jacksonville State University to continue his education in Slackerism. It was here that Stephen Joined the ranks of the Jacksonville State University Marching Southerners as a Member of the Southerners Trumpet Line. After 2 years of Marching he rediscovered his Love of music and decided to pursue that dream as far as he could take it. Stephen opened up his own Karaoke Company in 2008 and continued as a Prominent DJ/Karaoke specialist in the area under the Guise of DJ Scuba Steve, a name that still lingers on today. Brandon Michael Young was born and raised in Weaver, AL just South of Jacksonville. He first discovered his love of music through watching his father, Tyrone Young, play guitar and through the multiple albums they listened to together. In High school, Brandon so loved his own voice that he dropped his Spanish class so he could enroll in the High School Choir under the Direction of Paul Segrest. Brandon also was a Trumpet player in his High School Marching band and played String Bass in Symphonic Band under the Direction of Tom Holland. Not Knowing what he wanted to do with his life after High school, he applied and tried out for a Vocal Scholarship at Multiple Universities and accepted a Full scholarship to Gadsden State Community College Where he Majored in Electrical Industrial Management with a Minor in Music Performance. He participated in the Choirs there under the Direction of the late Bill Crowe. Brandon had many Musical endeavors while in College, but the moment that stands out above the rest was when he sang baritone for “The Narrow Way” Quartet out of Gadsden, AL, under The guidance of Musical Maverick Mark Trammel from Southside, AL. While in College he started working at the Anniston Army Depot in the Co-Op program. He continued working for the Government for a number of years after that, occasionally moonlighting as a guitarist in a number of bars. Stephen and Brandon met at Brothers Bar in Jacksonville, AL while Stephen was performing as DJ Scuba Steve for Ladies Night. After they Both performed together as Special Guests for an Un-named Band out of Pell City, AL they Created a Duo act named Southern Rebellion without any real thought into the name. They played under that name for a couple years and in an attempt to let people know who played in the Band, they changed the Band Name to their Last Names finally deciding on YOUNG SULLIVAN. Through Vocal Harmonies, strong Drum beats, and slick guitar solos, The Young Sullivan Band is setting the stage for their future success through strong relationships with their venues and increased Sponsorships though Local companies. Currently on Tour with Moccasin CreeK Dates still available. Contact via email Young Sullivan is known for their great vocal Stylings and harmonies.
