Popularly known as the Reincarnate of Janis Joplin and deemed Canada's Darling of the blues, Layla Zoe is a powerful vocalist who is a recognised face of the blues and roots music scene internationally. Uplifting musical set supported by inspiring guitar riffs, amazing piano solos and a very tight sound live sound. Bass player plays with and effortless cool and the drummer a solid, tight and uncomplicated backbone. The quieter moments in the set provided for some moving guitar solos where Coco makes his guitar literally sing. The dynamics were excellent.
