Demented Truth

Demented Truth, Four guys that don't look like much, but there's something different about them. A swagger usually reserved for national acts. They played their first show after being together only 3 weeks in a club that only held 75 people, had gun shots ringing out between songs, and didn't believe in air conditioning. Within 2 months they were opening for national acts. What was different about them? They don't come to play a gig, they come to put on a rock event at every venue they're at.

Vocalist : Danny Shaner is well know known in the Orlando rock/metal scene. Having been the frontman for bands such as Wyred, Retribution, Cauldron Born, and most recently, Blue Collar Addict, he has toured the country. Not only does Danny have incredible vocal range and stage presence, he also writes some great lyrics that show off his range.

Guitarist : Mark Denman is coming into Demented Truth with 30 years of experience under his belt. Utilizing elements of many genres in his style, he works hard to bring precision and melody to whatever music he is performing. Having shared the stage with Demented Truth on various bills over the years, Mark has had the unique perspective of watching the band as a peer and fan before joining in on the fun.


Bassist : Craig Daniels, with his signature Fender bass and Mark Bass rig, is well known and respected. Influenced by Steve Harris and Stu Hamm, he is solid on his bass line. His ability to groove and move on stage makes him a show on his own and when you're in a band where everyone is at the top of their game, you are part of an event.

Drummer : Vance West is the drummer for Demented Truth, along with a founding member of blues-rock band "Falcon Awesome".

Vance was most recently a part of local Tampa, Florida band "Autumn's Pain", New York thrash luminaries "Toxic Shock" and country artist "Sammy Davis Jr.". Early on during the late 80s'-early90's he was the drummer for "Cyrus", a progressive rock band founded with his brother Lonnie West. Over they years he's played with former members of "DIO", "Great White" and has built a solid resume of live and studio credits in rock, country, metal and blues.

As a drummer Vance grew up watching Buddy Rich and emulating disciplined pocket players like Bun E Carlos, Peter Criss and Stan Lynch. Those early influences soon transitioned to the power and precision of Neil Peart, Vinny Appice, Clive Burr, Mikkey Dee, Scott Rockenfield and Mark Zonder. Some of his favorite drummers these days are: Randy Black, Richard Christy, Rich Redmond, Jason Rullo, Bobby Jarzobek, Marco Minneman and Chad Szeliga.



This is your liberation. This is your salvation. This is a Demented Truth. Four regular guys that get each other musically. Four guys that understand what's missing from music today. Four guys that give it all on stage. When you hear them live, you will know the truth.
