A staple at the infamous Hullabaloo! raves in Toronto, residencies with Detroit's Hardcore 313, the notorious Ravers Only NYC and an OG member of North America's most prominent label Justice Hardcore, Tranzit returns to his roots for a special one-off hardcore set. Back home in Canada, he's one half of #TDotLove with long time accomplice Datty (MC Everybodies Daddy) pushing the Toronto Drum n' Bass scene with monthly events & weekly radio shows #TDotLove live on Wednesday evenings. Through the promise of beer and the possibility of more beer, we've managed to convince him to wipe the dust off his collection of hardcore classics so we can all wax poetic with anthems, stomping B-sides and personal favorites he's carefully curated over a history that spans 3 decades. For one night only, he's promised to be the soundtrack as you relive the magic that was the first time you donned phat pants, a whistle and the innocence of a young raver at the turn of the millennium. Dancing shoes will be mandatory ✪Nobody: Ohio/UK Hardcore (Justice Hardcore) http://www.soundcloud.com/nobodyhardcore https://www.facebook.com/nobodyhardcore http://www.justicehardcore.com Justice Hardcore has quickly become a dominant presence in the global hardcore scene, representing a fusion of North American, Australian, & UK artists and styles. We're very proud to bring the owner and founder of Justice Hardcore, Nobody, to Connecticut for the very first time! With his quick mixing style and his ever growing arsenal of future hardcore anthems, it's sure to be one hell of a party when he hits the stage!! This is definitely a set you do not want to miss!! #BRINGINGTHEJUSTICE ✪How Hard: NYC/Gabber (Hard Kryptic Records, Hardmind, Ravers Only, Traumatic Records, Machinecore Records, Red Fever Recordings, Digital Plague Records) www.djhowhard.com www.facebook.com/djhowhard www.soundcloud.com/djhowhard www.twitter.com/djhowhard How Hard, aka the Pied Piper of Hardcore, is one of the most recognizable names in the NYC Hardcore Techno scene. Born in New York and splitting his adolescence between the music scenes of both NYC and South Florida, he has spent over twenty years building his music career. Though beginning his musical dissonance in the metal, hardcore, and punk scenes he has been best known for his years pushing Hardcore Techno. Fusing his influences and crossing genre lines, How Hard has been known to embrace many styles within his already powerful sets. When not behind the decks, How Hard is relentlessly in the studio working. As an original artist he has continuously produced, collaborated, and remixed on multiple labels. Looking to further push hard and underground music, he launched his Hard X Music group of labels in 2006 which includes the top-selling imprint Hard Kryptic Records. Hard Kryptic and its sublabels have featured original tracks and remixes by some of the biggest names while emphasizing in discovering the best underground talents from around the world. An ever-growing force in the music industry, How Hard continues to strive to reach new heights in his career while pushing his undying love for hard music. ✪Candy Kid: NYC/UK Hardcore-Happy Hardcore (Ravers Only, Galaxy Express Recordings) https://soundcloud.com/djcandykid https://www.facebook.com/DJ-Candy-Kid-137534190582 https://www.facebook.com/RaversOnly Native Belarusian and long-time Brooklynite, Slava a.k.a. DJ Candy Kid has been tearing up dance floors across the United States and Canada with his unique style and adrenaline-packed sets of Happy Hardcore, Gabber, DnB, Breakbit, and Acid & Euro-Trance since 2001. Slava originally got into electronic music while living in Minsk back in '93 listening to Marusha, Blumchen, Scooter, WestBam, DJ Hooligan, Das Modul, Dune, Charlie Noise & Mental Theo, Red 5 and Brooklyn Bounce. After his uncle had taught him to dejay at a young age, Slava was able to pursue his dreams of putting smiles on faces and making dance floors shake once he moved to New York City and was able to buy records and dejay equipment. You can retrace DJ Candy Kid's first dejay set back to NYC's Halloween 2001. Since then, Slava has torn up American dance floors from east coast to west coast (and everywhere between), plays Canada on a yearly basis, and makes fans groove worldwide. He had shared the stage with producers such as GRiZ, Hixxy, Brisk, Impact, Mark Smith, Angerfist, Joey Riot, Kurt, Robbie Long, S3RL, Sc@r, Pikey, and many other legendary producers and dejays. Slava is currently the owner of New York City's only Happy Hardcore recording label Galaxy Express Recordings, which launched in 2009. In January 2014, Slava also co-founded his first original production project Apocalypse Friends, who's music is a lethal concotion of hardcore, DnB, and trance with classical piano, Nintendocore, and ska. Along with his apocalypse friend (and partner-in-apoco-crime) Maria Flux, the duo has released an entirely original album, and has unending plans for more electronic-fusion albums as well as live performances (stay tuned!). Many people wonder why Slava picked the dejay name Candy Kid. The real story behind the name goes back to when Slava was growing up in Belarus, and he ate so much candy he earned the nickname Sweet-Tooth. Before arriving in America, he had never heard of kandi/kandi-kids (etc). While a lot of people think he chose the name DJ Candy Kid because of its social reception, the name is as simple as syrup -- Slava loves sugar. But don't let the name fool you - Candy Kid can throw down some hard and dirty beats, showing you that even the sweetest people have a dark-side. Fueling the crowd with happiness and providing an outlet for self-expression is always the biggest reward for Slava. His infections love and endless energy are what truly defines DJ Candy Kid. ✪PKat: CT/UK Hardcore (Plurtrain Underground, Strictly Underground, Tight Crew) https://www.facebook.com/pkat.pogi https://soundcloud.com/plurtrain Amongst the most formidable, stoic, lasting performance DJs to emerge from the Northeast US, the prolific PKat prowls and pounces to rhythms of unparalleled energy. Once the Philippine-born displaced New Yorker perched a set of cat ears upon his head, it set off an unprecedented chain of events, yet Seannglenn Kearney has always gravitated toward adventure. Disconcerted by a volatile start-up dot-com, he found sanctuary through New England's underground scene at The Asylum, Springfield MA; and various Columns of Knowledge events throughout CT. It was refreshingly reminiscent of his time relishing NYC's Tunnel, Limelight, Twilo, and Sound Factory where PKat first donned his distinctive cat ears on October 31, 2000. Then shortly after, PKat roved to CT, closer among brethren. When asked what the P stands for he playfully replied, "It can stand for many things. It might be 'Percussive, Pistachio, Perforated, Piano' ... Kat" lightly sidestepping the origin of appellation being partially attributed to his username on Bluelight.nu, a web forum promoting harm reduction and underground electronic music culture. May of 2002, at an undisclosed location along the Farmington River, PKat executed his first semi public session. He soon after performed regularly at the Municipal Cafe in Hartford, CT. His energy and penchant for bringing crowds to frenzy gained the attention of arts and entertainment journalist Dan Barry, who wrote a piece featuring PKat in the Hartford Advocate, April 2005. From 2007 to 2011 PKat earned several main stage spotlights at Candyball, New York City's hardcore party by RaversOnly. He continued throughout the Northeast US as denizen contributor to Mutiny Events, Strictly Underground, Tight Crew, and numerous production groups dedicated to the underground. The US alone wasn't enough to contain PKat's effect. In summer 2010, along with select artists under the umbrella of Project USA, PKat was invited to perform multiple stages at HTID in the Sun, a week long getaway at Lloret de Mar, ES. A season later he traversed the pond again to headline the Boot Camp stage at Ravers Are: Twisted at Lakota Bristol, UK. Only a matter of time would see PKat's quirky sense of humor broadcast worldwide with over 170 live streamed episodes of 'PKat vs Demonfish' on KraftyRadio.com, and features on happyhardcore.com that spanned from summertime 2009 to 2013. By nature, PKat is very agreeable and looks out for everyone's enjoyment. By contrast, his mixing style has been described as aggressive, relentless, akin to a locomotive steadily climbing to a brisk cruising speed while adventuring along the coastline. In two words "keep moving". This is a fitting mantra for the owner of PLURTRAIN, PKat's independent label since 2004. PKat has an affinity for exploring juxtaposed elements as demonstrated in his remix of NakedFace Records' release 'Sugar Glass'. Other originals have encompassed a broad range from the bouncy bass of 'Bubblegum' to severely dark and tantalizing tones of 'In the Flesh'. A natural born tester of boundaries, PKat's artistic journey is interminable. Presently, PKat has been capturing and mastering live sets for us to relive, strategically covert releasing exclusive mixes, and maintaining the delicate balance all while priming PLURTRAIN for further expansion as digital label. Keep your ears perked for his forthcoming releases and unreleased abstractions at festivals, exclusive parties, clubs, and underground events. ✪Joey Electric: RI/Hardstyle (Morlock Musk) www.joeyelectric.bigcartel.com www.facebook.com/pages/Joey-Electric www.facebook.com/slaythemwithsynth www.soundcloud.com/joey-electric www.morlockmusik.com From the downtuned and minor key symphony, Joey Electric looks onto the death danse floor of Hades. This Club Hell veteran and FReQ Friday resident dwells in the undead mix of the underworld. Somewhere between the pulsing oscilaters and 909 kicks, Joey Electric punishes the rejoicing crowds all around the East Coast. He wants to burn the sky with a vigilant fire and give his music immortality. His latest cd and podcast "Danse.Death.Repeat" is a soundtrack for the impending doom that ushers in the Prince of Hard Dance and his awe inspiring sets. Put your horns in the air to welcome Joey Electric, for he has come to "Slay Them With Synth." ✪DJ Blu: CT/UK Hardcore-Happy Hardcore (Hard Hitters) https://www.facebook.com/bluthedj DJ Blu is known for his hard sounds and styles, but has no problem going back to his cheesy happy hardcore roots. Since coming to the scene as a DJ in 2008 he has been pleasing crowds with his energetic mix of stompers and sing-a-longs. With his monthly mix on the Electronic DJ Network Youtube channel, DJ Blu is serving up a buffet of beats that no one can resist! ✲Outdoor Area ✲: ♫♪¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪¸¸ ✪Integrity: NYC/Psytrance (NYCRavers, Kikwear, Hardmind) http://www.djintegrity.com http://www.soundcloud.com/djintegrity http://www.facebook.com/integritydj https://instagram.com/dj_integrity http://www.nycravers.com http://www.kikwear.com http://www.hardmindproductions.com For more than 15 years, DJ Integrity has strived to serve and represent the rave community without compromise, influence, or corruption to fulfill the expectations his moniker implies. As a DJ, despite genre evolution over the past decade and a half, Integrity’s driving, deep, and complex sound has remained consistent, but fine-tuned and modernized along the way. Integrity covers a wide range of trance, hard dance, and techno driven by a psychedelic undertone. He designs his performances as stories with quick and calculated mixing to challenge the mind and body to engage. During the same time period, Integrity has also released mixes and radio broadcasts alongside producing and consulting for numerous events. Influenced by and trained during the late 1990s-era New York City rave scene, supported by prominent promoters past and present, and matured by years of performances, you can rely on Integrity to deliver the authentic rave experience even when others claim it is dead. ✪DJ Onit: CT/House (Showcase records, Awake Productions, Lowtech) http://dj.beatport.com/djonit https://soundcloud.com/djonit-wdc https://www.facebook.com/DJONITWDC Onit began his DJing career spinning Florida breaks in the Washington, DC. rave scene in 1995. He quickly acquired his first residency at Lowtech, a Tuesday night dance party held at the Caffe house on 12th and U Street. For years Lowtech was considered the most successful Tuesday night club in the DC area and even gained a mentioned in URB magazine. The party ran for four years, while moving to several larger venues in and around the Washington area. From 1996 to 2000, Onit held residency positions in Virginia, Baltimore, and DC, in such venues as the Edge Nightclub and the legendary Trax Nightclub in South East DC. In 2000, he left the DC area to pursue a more formal education. He attended the University of New Haven in CT for four years and graduated with two degrees in music. Following graduation, he began mixing music and live studio audio for various shows on the sports cable network ESPN. In 2007, Onit teamed up with DJ ELETE (another Lowtech resident) to put together a series of mixes for a podcast, which they decided to name Lowtech in honor of their former club. The two DJs used this outlet to post old mix tapes, as well as put out new mixes using their vast collections of vinyl. It was a way for them to memorialize some of their favorite dance tracks ever. The series is comprised of over 24 hours of mixes, in genres varying from Disco House to Drum and Bass. Onit is always looking to cultivate new skills, and last year decided to focus on scratching and battling - he enrolled in the Scratch DJ Academy in NYC and is well on his way to becoming certified in the program. He is still living in CT and has recently started making live appearances throughout the state and into other areas of New England. He is always excited to meet new producers, DJs, promoters, and fans on his never-ending path to grow as an artist and fan of all types of dance music. ✪Zach SantaBarbara: CT/House (Scientific Sound, Live Free and Dance, Reckless Dream Productions, M.A.D.E Productions) https://soundcloud.com/zach-santabarbara https://www.facebook.com/ZachSantaBarbara Zach SantaBarbara is a new school beatjunkie with an oldskool vibe who will keep you dancing all night long!
