House of Blues San Diego
1055 5th Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101
Prepare yourself for a spicy night of fiery music at the House of Blues San Diego, when three red hot Latin artists take to the stage. First up is rock, salsa and blues band El Chicano, whose singles like "Viva Tirado" and their cover of "Brown Eyed Girl" lit up the "Billboard" charts in the 1970s. Jorge Santana is a Latin blues guitarist whose musical style was greatly influenced by his brother Carlos -- yes, "that" Carlos Santana. In addition to recording two albums with his brother's band, Jorge has also performed with Malo on their 1972 hit "Suavecito." East L.A.'s own rock, R&B and salsa group Tierra -- the first Latin band to have four songs in the national charts and two on the "Billboard" Top 100 at the same time -- rounds out the bill, playing hits like "Together" and "Gonna Find Her."
