In a very crowded field, Errogie native Adam Sutherland (Treacherous Orchestra/Nae Plans/Session A9/Croft No 5) is one of Scotland’s most singularly gifted fiddlers. Entering a new phase of creativity, Adam is launching his much awaited second album at Celtic Connections 2018. As with his first album Squall, acclaimed for novelty and experimentation, all tunes are self-penned and in this case mostly gleaned from dreams. Waking in the middle of the night with a new tune is a recent phenomenon for the musician, and has happened so regularly that it has become the unintentional but undeniable theme of this new release, with the title Some Other Land referencing how Adam likes to describe the place from where his tunes originate.
