One of the biggest names in reggae history, the Wailers are best known for backing Bob Marley throughout his legendary career. Following Marley's tragic death in 1981, the band continued on, led by bassist Aston "Family Man" Barrett, who was a member of Lee Perry's group The Upsetters before joining Marley in 1971. In addition to their work with Marley, the Wailers have performed with reggae legends such as Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer and Burning Spear, as well as Sting, the Fugees, Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana and many other stars from across the musical spectrum. A gifted and tireless touring act, the Wailers have performed for a total of more than 20 million live audience members across the globe -- and now they're coming to BLK Live in Scottsdale, with opening sets from roots reggae group Kill Babylon Coalition and contemporary reggae artist Zander Waves.
