About this concert
Founded in 1965, Blues Alley is the nation's oldest operating jazz supper club, having showcased such internationally renowned artists as Dizzy Gillespie, Sarah Vaughan, Nancy Wilson, Grover Washington Jr., Ramsey Lewis, Charlie Byrd, Maynard Ferguson and Eva Cassidy. Located in the heart of historic Georgetown in an 18th century red brick carriage house, Blues Alley offers a unique and intimate ambiance, reminiscent of the jazz clubs of the 1920s and '30s. Go for just the music and drinks, or make it an evening and choose from authentic Creole cuisine, steak and seafood dishes.

Geoff Gallante Biography

At just 14 years old, Geoff has already performed in 34 states across the country and with 5 different ensembles of the US military! He's appeared on the CBS Early Show, NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno and NBC's Today Show and has performed at the Kennedy Center in DC and even the White House - the youngest instrumentalist ever accorded that honor. Geoff has soloed with some of America's finest wind ensembles, most notably the U.S. Naval Academy Concert Band, Ridgewood (NJ) Concert Band, Allentown (PA) Band, Wheaton (IL) Municipal Band, Compton Heights Concert Band of St. Louis, Plano (TX) Community Band, Northwinds Symphonic Band (Atlanta), Fond Du Lac (WI) Symphonic Band, Naples (FL) Concert Band, and Metropolitan (Boston) Wind Symphony. Geoff was also a featured soloist at the 2012 ACB Annual Convention in Poughkeepsie, NY. Cornet/Trumpet/Flugelhorn Soloist. Member of Capitol Focus Jazz Band and Blues Alley Youth Orchestra.
